Yang Asha (meaning "clear water girl" in Hmong language) is the goddess of the Hmong people. The sun, the great master in the sky, fell in love with Yang Asha, and the moon in the sky also fell in love with Yang Asha. But Yang Asha loved the sun deeply, and during the Sisters' Festival in the Hmong village, the two of them decided to spend their lives together on the drum-beating field.
